Walking the Calling

Many times I sit and tell myself that I must speak and motivate.   Recently, I have prayerfully reflected on the vastness of that simple  ministry.  The obvious is to stand before an audience and motivate.  That’s the easy one……believe it or not.

The intentional living projects I challenge myself to perform are motivational tools.  Audiences (you) read my blogs, relate to the message, and are motivated.  Again, this is a piece of cake!!  I can write all day long with the intent to motivate people.

The hard part lies within this scripture……

As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received.  Ephesians 4:1 NIV

Living the life worthy of my calling is the hardest part.  I can tell you what to do all day long.  I can show you easy steps to improve things.  And I can even provide easy tips that not only motivates but makes life just a little bit easier.  The hard part is living the life I talk about.  I am just as tempted as the next gal.  I recall the blog post about drinking water from home every time I purchase a bottled soda.  I am left feeling guilty when I cheat just a little on my “fresh eating” diet…..I love chips!!  If I want you my readers to walk away feeling like God is moving you to follow an example I have written or discussed then I should be a living example…… right???

I have been praying recently for something that I never thought about praying for in the past…… I’ve asked God for the “want to” as a willing example of His love and His power.  That’s how I want to live my live…… willing to live out of his love and power.

God Bless………
Regina
