Electric Savings!!
Oh, I tell you something is wrong with me!! I get excited these days to get my electric bill. Crazy isn’t it??? But, let me tell you I want to know how much I am saving!! I get a thrill seeing how much money our sacrifices are paying off.
Just the other day, our electric bill came. Oh what a pleasant surprise. This summer, we have bumped the old thermostat up to 80 instead of last year’s 78. Plus, I am line drying my clothes, so the dryer isn’t being used except on rainy days. Once the garage is cleaned out I am planning on having a line in there as well. Anyway, back to the bill. My jaw dropped when I saw the savings…..comparing to last year’s June bill we have saved….. drum roll please…….$84.28!!!
Needless to say, I danced all the way into the house!!!

On going green…Several summers ago, David was home for a week and he went out and strung up a clothes line for me btween the electric light pole and a poplar tree. I was thrilled with it. I love hanging clothes out on a nice day and how fresh they smell when you take them inside.
One day, I was making a trip to our nearby library and it looked like it was going to storm up that way. I hoped I could make it back home before the storm hit our place. Well, I didnt make it in time. As I neared home, I could see a pair of pink capris hanging from a tree branch. Several other items had to be retrieved from over the bank , headed for the river. So much for going green. Yet, I still hang clothes out to dry on nice days.
